Israeli Haredi novelist Chaim Eliezer Walder (15 November 1968 – 27 December 2021) wrote books for teenagers, children, and adults.
His best-selling debut e-book, Yeladim Mesaprim al Atzmam (Hebrew: , Children Tell About Themselves; English translation: Kids Speak), which launched youthful protagonists who converse candidly about their points and emotions and revolutionized literature for Haredi children, made him an Israeli publishing sensation. This opened the door for lots of additional authors to create distinctive fiction for Haredi youth.
Walder was the supervisor of the Center for the Child and Family, run by the Bnei Brak municipality, along with a longtime social factors columnist for the Hebrew newspaper Yated Ne’eman.
In November 2021, a Haaretz investigative story revealed claims of sexual abuse by Walder in the direction of fairly just a few girls who had been in his care as a therapist.
