Derek William Draper born 15 August 1967 in Chorley, Lancashire, was educated at Southlands High School until 1984. Draper later attended Runshaw College in Leyland and the University of Manchester.
Draper began his political occupation in 1990 when he turned the constituency secretary for Nick Brown. In 1992, he left this job and went to work as a researcher for the MP for Hartlepool, Peter Mandelson. Draper later turned a director of a lobbying company often known as GPC Market Access and was employed by them until early 1999.
Draper was hospitalized in March 2020, affected by COVID-19, and admitted to an intensive care unit. As of early June 2020, he remained in important scenario after ten weeks and was in an induced coma.
Draper married television presenter Kate Garraway in 2005 in Camden, London and they also have two children
